VIRGIN VIDEO
The Virgin videos form an integral component of the multidisciplinary installation The Virgin Collection. They include the mock commercial virginz in tees, 2001, a parody of the Gap Ad “everybody in vests” in which teenagers sing Madonna’s 80s hit “Dress You Up” while modeling gap vests; absolutelyfabulousvirgincollection, 2003, a fast-paced promotional set to the soundtrack of the Pet Shop Boys hit single “Absolutely Fabulous”; and documentation from two solo performances by the artist, Fall Collection, performed at Schroeder Romero Gallery in Brooklyn, NY, 2002 and Spring Collection, performed at Galerie Chez Valentin in Paris, France, 2002.
